Southwestern Native American jewelry inspired this colorful necklace.  It is constructed of High Grade Purple Spiny Oyster 7mm rondelles and Purple Spiny Oyster graduated 8mm to 4mm Heishi beads. Throughout the necklace I've added Orange Spiny Oyster 8mm rondelles and various other semi-precious beads including Turquoise 7mm rondelles, lapis and Lemon Jade beads. Gorgeous large Bali Sterling Silver 9mm INFINITE DRUM Beads and Bali Sterling ring spacer beads and daisy spacers are also in this design. This 18" necklace is closed with two 7 x 20mm Southwestern style sterling melon beads and a sterling hook and eye clasp.

This necklace would look great on a woman or a man. I made one for my fiancé and he loves it and wears it all the time and get many compliments. If you need a larger size for your gentleman, I will add a sterling extension chain at no additional charge.

Bali silver is sterling silver made on the island of Bali, in Indonesia in the Indian Ocean. The Balinese are highly skilled silversmiths, known for their granulation and wirework decoration.

Spondylus more commonly called Spiny Oyster is large and very colorful. The Spiny Oyster is not even an oyster but in the scallop family. Often used in jewelry this sea animal is in high demand for its appearance and color.

TURQUOISE - Metaphysical Properties: Assists in healing emotional stress and pain, including the physical symptoms of stress. They believe it dispels fear, lifts depression and brings a sense of happiness, serenity and self-confidence to the wearer. Turquoise was one of the earliest gems to be used for personal adornment. It was used by Ancient Egypt rulers around 5500 BC. The name Turquoise dates to 16th century and derived from Old French word for "Turkish", because it entered Western Europe through Asia Minor.
