These colorful Southwestern Style earrings were inspired by Native American silversmith jewelry. They are made with 8x3mm Turquoise Heishi Beads, 8mm Orange Spiny Oyster Button Beads and Bali Sterling Rope Spacers and sterling headpins. These 2 5/8" long dangle earrings are hung on my Silver Filled handcrafted ear wires.

You'll find Spiny oyster around the world typically along the coasts of North Carolina all the way down to the waters near Brazil, also in the Sea of Cortez, and off the coast of Baja Mexico and Baja California. Often used in jewelry this sea animal is in high demand for its appearance and color.
