This necklace is designed with brilliantly colored handmade glass cylindrical African Trade Krobo Beads of cobalt blue with yellow and white dots measuring 10x7mm  and Cobalt 12x14 round Krobo beads.  There are also African yellow sand cast beads and brass spacers included in this necklace. . A focal is created by combining a hammered brass ring, Krobo beads and a brass charm. This necklace is closed with a very finely crafted brass hook and eye clasp and is 18" long.  This lovely necklace is now on clearance for 50% off.

African Krobo powder glass beads are hand made using vertical molds fashioned out of a special, locally dug clay. The mold is filled with finely ground glass that can be built up in layers in order to form sequences and patterns of different shapes and colors. Cassava leaf stems are used to create the hole.  These stems will burn away during firing and leave the bead stringing hole. Firing takes place in clay kilns until the glass fuses.
