This gorgeous Solid Bronze and Copper Pendant with Red Jasper Cabochon and Red Jasper beads was handcrafted by me from metal sheets.  The pendant is  2 1/16" x 1"  with a 20mm Red Jasper cabochon and 8mm beads.  The jasper is a lovely color of deep rust red.  The pendant and beads are hung on a Solid Bronze Chain. A solid bronze S-Hook closes this timeless necklace.

JASPER – Jasper is one of the oldest known gemstones and is a strong securing gemstone. All Jaspers offer protection and securing or grounding energies.  Legend says that Jasper would drive away evil spirits and protect against snake and spider bites. In the fourth century, it was thought to bring about the rain.

The first known existence of BRONZE dates to about 3500 BC and the Sumerians and lends its name to the Bronze Age. The discovery of bronze enabled people to create better metal objects than before. Tools, weapons, armor, and various building materials, like decorative tiles, made of bronze were harder and more durable than their stone and copper. As time progressed, the use of bronze in art, sculpture and architecture flourished. Bronze and copper jewelry has always existed and always will.
