I used a perfectly beautiful gemstone Multi-Color Australian Mookaite Jasper Pendant hanging from a sterling bail as the centerpiece of this gorgeous necklace. The pendant measures 1 3/4" x 13/4". Mookaite is very colorful Jasper gemstone found only in Australia. I also added 12 x 18mm Mookaite Oval beads Mookaite round beads with sterling bead caps on the round beads nearest to the pendant. The beautiful modern sterling silver elements are 10 x 6mm Sterling oval beads and Sterling round spacer beads. A very great looking Sterling figure 8 lobster clasp completes this 26 1/2" long necklace.

MOOKAITE JASPER is named after the local area it comes from, Mooka Creek in the Kennedy Ranges near Gascoyne Junction which is about 100 miles inland from the coastal town of Carnarvon in Western Australia. It has been found in many very bright colors, yellow, reds, purples, tan, snow white, ivory white, pinks and many other shades. 

Metaphysical Properties of Mookaite Jasper: Mookaite Jasper is said to help counter the effects of aging! This gemstone is believed to bring us into the "here and now," aiding with problem assessment and decision making. It is also said to be beneficial to pregnant women.  In Australia, mookaite was and still is considered to be a healing stone that bestows strength. It is said to shield the wearer from difficult situations and to connect us to loved ones who have passed away.
