Prehnite Faceted Trapezoid Pendant and Oval Beads, Black Onyx and Sterling Necklace
A 20 x 30mm natural semi-precious Prehnite Faceted Trapezoid Pendant is the focal of this necklace. I did a little wire work on the pendant, adding a Sterling wire spiral and a few of the other small onyx and sterling nugget beads used throughout the necklace. Besides the Prehnite pendant I also added gorgeous Prehnite Oval Beads. To pick up the black minerals that is within the Prehnite, I added Black Onyx Matte faceted nugget beads along with Bali Sterling nugget beads. This one-of-a-kind 27" long necklace is closed with my handcrafted spiral hook and eye clasp also adorned with a small black onyx and a Bali sterling nugget. This necklace is obviously not something you would find in a store. It is a piece of art that was made from the heart.
PREHNITE gemstones are rare, however, the semi-precious variety is more abundant and comes primarily in a pale green color. However, it can run to a deep shade of green as well. The gem is also be found in pastel shades of blue, gray, white, yellow, or even a nearly transparent color with white striations running throughout. It is mined in many countries and also the United States. It is a soft gemstone and should be cleaned with a damp cloth and stored where other objects cannot come in abrupt contact with the stones.
