This lovely textured copper pendant was handcrafted by cutting the forms out of copper sheet.  I have added a beautiful 10mm square Abalone bead on the pendant.  The abalone seems to be a great combination with the copper.  The pendant is hung on a copper chain and measures at 17 3/4" and ends with  a handcrafted hook and eye clasp. This piece and chain has been coated with a jeweler's metal preservative so the shine of the copper will remain and not tarnish.  The last picture shows the back of the pendant

Abalone are marine gastropod molluscs. There are 7 species on the West Coast, and about 60-100 species recognized globally.  The 7 species found on the West Coast: pinto abalone (also known as Northern abalone), black, white, pink, red, green, and threaded.
