Deep Red Coral Teardrop Beads with Turquoise Rondelle and Sterling Earrings
These lovely earrings are designed with deep red Coral Teardrop Beads hanging beneath a lovely Bali Sterling decorative bead. Both are hung from my handcrafted sterling silver ear wires with a Turquoise rondelle bead place on the ear wires.
These earrings have a bit of a Southwestern look about them. Coral and turquoise together always seem to me to lean toward that style. These earrings measure 1 3/4 inches measured from the top of the ear wires.
CORAL - Coral symbolizes joy and happiness, it enables the wearer to enjoy life. Dark red coral is used for heating and stimulating the bloodstream. Mythology supports this stone’s symbolic meaning with the story of Perseus. When he beheaded Medusa some of her blood dripped into the sea and became the stunning Red Coral we often see in jewelry today.
BALI SILVER is sterling silver made on the island of Bali, in Indonesia in the Indian Ocean. The Balinese are highly skilled silversmiths, known for their granulation and wirework decoration.
TURQUOISE - Metaphysical Properties: Assists in healing emotional stress and pain, including the physical symptoms of stress. They believe it dispels fear, lifts depression and brings a sense of happiness, serenity and self-confidence to the wearer.
Turquoise was one of the earliest gems to be used for personal adornment. It was used by Ancient Egypt rulers around 5500 BC. The name Turquoise dates to 16th century and derived from Old French word for "Turkish", because it entered Western Europe through Asia Minor.
